Steph

Steph learned she had a desire to help and train dogs early in life when her family adopted their first puppy, Dixie. She mailed in a postcard from a bag of puppy food to obtain a training video and went to work with her new best friend. She quickly learned through patience and care, she and Dixie had created a very special bond. 

 

Steph also grew up riding horses, going camping and spending as much time outside as possible. Her love of animals, large and small, has continued through her adulthood. 

 

She has spent the majority of professional career in various healthcare roles. Although she enjoyed this work, she looks forward to applying her knowledge and skills here at the Grateful Dog, and hopes to become a service dog trainer.
