Cassidy LaMothe
Dog Trainer and Behavior Specialist
Cassidy LaMothe specializes in behavioral cases, helping dogs and their people build better lives together through play and relationship-based training. Her approach focuses on trust, communication, and mutual respect—because every dog deserves the chance to thrive, and every person deserves to live with a happy dog.
Cassidy grew up in Southern Vermont, where her lifelong love for animals began. From an early age, she was training not just dogs, but bunnies, chickens, horses, hamsters, and even mice. That natural connection with animals grew into a passion for understanding behavior and helping others do the same.
In 2019, Cassidy earned her certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), and although she has since decided to let the certification lapse, her commitment to professional growth has never stopped. She has invested heavily in continuing education, regularly attending conferences, seminars, and workshops with some of the most respected leaders in the industry.
Today, Cassidy works with dogs facing a wide range of challenges, from reactivity and fear to more complex behavioral concerns. She is dedicated to using science-backed, compassionate methods that strengthen the bond between dogs and their humans.
When not working, Cassidy enjoys hiking and horseback riding with her pack of four dogs.
*Besides her work at Grateful Dog, Cassidy is the trainer at Soul Dog Solutions which focuses on dogs with aggression and reactivity issues. If you have a dog that may benefit from this program, please contact Cassidy here.
